By default, every sharing link you create in Paperlink uses theDocumentation Index

app.paperlink.online domain. A custom domain replaces that with your own address - for example, docs.yourcompany.com. Recipients see your brand in the URL, not Paperlink’s. This is especially useful when sharing documents with clients, investors, or partners where presentation matters.
Custom domains require the Business plan or higher. The number of domains you can add depends on your plan tier.
Add a custom domain
Enter your domain
Type the domain name you want to use - for example,
docs.yourcompany.com. You can also paste a full URL; Paperlink extracts the domain automatically.Configure DNS records
After adding the domain, Paperlink shows the DNS records you need to create. Log in to your domain registrar (Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy, or whichever provider manages your domain) and add both records.CNAME record
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | CNAME |
| Name | Your subdomain (for example, docs) |
| Target | cname.vercel-dns.com |
TXT record
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | TXT |
| Name | Your full subdomain (for example, docs.yourcompany.com) |
| Value | The verification token shown in Paperlink |
Verify the domain
Once you have added both DNS records, return to Settings > Team > Branded Domains and click Verify next to your domain. Paperlink checks your DNS configuration and updates the status. You can click Verify as many times as you like - each click triggers a fresh DNS check. This is useful when you have just added the records and want to confirm they have propagated.Verification statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending verification | Domain has been added to Paperlink but DNS records have not been checked yet or have not propagated |
| Verified | DNS records are correct and the domain is active - sharing links can now use it |
| Invalid DNS configuration | One or both DNS records are missing or contain incorrect values |
| DNS conflict detected | The domain is already registered with a different Vercel project and must be removed from that project first |
Use the domain on a sharing link
Once a domain shows Verified status, it appears as an option in the link creation form. When you create or edit a sharing link, go to the Link Settings section and select your custom domain from the Custom Domain selector. The link URL will use your domain instead of the Paperlink default. Pair this with a custom URL slug for a fully branded link - for example,docs.yourcompany.com/series-a-deck. See Sharing Link Settings Reference for details on custom URL slugs.
Remove a domain
